“We're excited to partner with Chez Panisse on a one-night-only dinner to benefit The Edible Schoolyard Project!
Now-legendary Chez Panisse was opened in Berkeley, California in 1971 by farm-to-table pioneer Alice Waters. In 1995, she also founded The Edible Schoolyard Project, which is dedicated to the transformation of public education by using organic school gardens, kitchens, and cafeterias to teach both academic subjects and the values of nourishment, stewardship, and community. Edible education provides hands-on experiences that connect students to food, nature, and each other; and it systematically addresses the crises of climate change, public health, and social inequality.
The evening will feature a four-course set menu of Chez Panisse classics, celebrating sustainably sourced, peak-of-season ingredients. An optional wine pairing showcasing California varietals will be available onsite.”
