Intro to Crochet

“In this class you will learn everything you need to start your crochet practice. We will cover casting on (how to start a crochet piece), crocheting, and casting off (finishing off a crochet piece). All materials are included, however you are welcome to bring any favorite yarn you may want to work with. This beginner class is perfect for anyone who has been curious about crochet, or if you are a rusty crocheter in need of a refresher. You are welcome to bring any food or snacks, however beverages must be in a closed container.

Hi! My name is Ariela, I'm a Mexican visual artist and designer based in New York. I learned how to knit and crochet from my grandmother when I was 4 years old, which planted the seed for my love of textiles. My work now spans across metal, textiles and painting, and I've been teaching crochet and knitting for the past four years.”
