During this 3.5 hour workshop, Katherine Wu will review the basic principles of creating a pendant using the lost wax casting method. Guests will learn how to carve their own designs into jewelers wax using a variety of tools and make their own unique pendant design, which will be finished with an included 18" sterling silver chain.
At the end of our time together, you can choose whether to get your pendant cast in sterling silver. If so, your pendant will be professionally cast and polished, and once paid, you will receive the final silver version of the your pendant secured to an 18 inch silver chain in 5-6 weeks by mail.
This ticket covers the cost of the workshop including 3.5 hours of instruction, access to tools, your wax model, and an 18 inch silver chain. Due to the unique weight of each pendant and the daily changing cost of silver all guests will receive an estimated final cost (within a calculated range), and be invoiced separately for the silver cost of the final product if choosing to cast.”
