“Join us for MOVIEPUDDING IRL—a screening of A New Leaf (dir. Elaine May, 1971) at IFC Center, followed by dinner at Gene's.
Description
A small group of us will gather to watch the new 4K restoration of May’s first feature A New Leaf—then head to Gene’s, an old-school, white-tablecloth spot that feels straight out of the film’s world. Think strong martinis, fries, and a little bit of Walter Matthau energy.
Come hang out, meet new people, and watch a truly great (and very funny) film by an underseen female director. The restaurant choice will make perfect sense once you’ve seen it.
Details and Logistics
This is an RSVP-only gathering with limited spots.
The event itself is free to join, but you’ll need to pay for your own movie ticket and cover your share of dinner and drinks.
IFC Center has provided a discount for tickets $15 (info shared after RSVP).
I’ll coordinate and settle the dinner bill at the end—just pay me back for your portion.”
