“Poetry in the Park, organized by the Fort Greene Park Conservancy (@fortgreenepark) and curated in partnership with Najee Omar, is an annual community celebration where poetry, music, and creativity fill Fort Greene Park for an afternoon of connection and inspiration.
Held in celebration of National Poetry Month, the festival invites neighbors from across Brooklyn to gather beneath the trees and open sky to listen, create, and share. Through performances, workshops, and spontaneous moments of expression, Poetry in the Park transforms the park into a welcoming space where stories are honored, voices are uplifted, and the power of art brings people together.
