This is our fifth time celebrating the world's favorite fruit / vegetable hybrid and we firmly believe it cannot be celebrated enough.
We're hosting with our friends at Talea Williamsburg, a female founded brewery making easy to love beers right here in Brooklyn. Come ready for some tomato beer pairings & surprise drinks (they also serve cocktails, wine, and non alc options).
We also come with a declaration: it is not tomato girl summer. But it is a New York City summer. And there is something about a big tomato that feels oh so I <3 NY. Some possible reasons: it shares the same color as our beloved red apple, and it is part of two iconic new york foods, pizza and bagel sandwiches.
As always, there is just one rule: bring your favorite tomato dish to share. We'll provide plates, utensils, and serving ware. Drop your recipes here so we can enjoy a delicious mix of sweet, savory, and everything in between.
We’ll have archival magazines for sale, merch, and a few surprises. You'll leave with a free gift bag of goodies courtesy of our brand partners.
Speaking of partners...we'll be having some fun with our partners from Sunset and Brami.
For over 70 years Sunset has been crafting new varietals of tomatoes that you have likely purchased at your local grocery store. We'll be doing a tomato tasting that will have you think about tasting tomatoes the way you think about tasting wine.
Brami is protein pasta made in Italy and pairs perfectly with our star produce of the season. We'll have a chef on site cheffing pasta with tomatoes to showcase that protein pasta can taste GOOD, even DELICIOUS.”
