“Forget dating apps. Come watch the people who know you best make the case for why you should date their friend.
We're recruiting a handful of single advocates, organizers, do-gooders, and community builders, then handing the mic to their friends for a PowerPoint presentation pitching them to a room full of eligible singles. Expect embarrassing photos, glowing testimonials, highly subjective character references, and a little public accountability.
Each presentation will be followed by a live Q&A, because if you're going to date an advocate, you deserve to know things like:
How many group chats are they in?
What's their relationship to their Google Calendar?
Will they bring you to a protest on a first date?
Are they going to run for office in the near future and what are they looking for in their First Man/Lady/Partner?
At the end of each pitch, presenters will share their friend's contact information so anyone interested can shoot their shot and slide into those DMs.
Once the presentations wrap, we'll leave plenty of time to give everyone a chance to mingle with the people who caught their eye...whether they were on stage or sitting right next to them!
