Something Sweeter

“Salon Avec Moi is two years old! We're celebrating with an extra sweet salon at Oberon in Williamsburg April 13th, 7pm-10pm featuring Drag Queen Harsh Babe, soprano Shreya Bhadriraju, and cellist Malachi Brown with pianist Matt Everingham.

As a special guest, we will be joined by Amsterdam based C'est Jeanne, creator of bespoke, couture gloves recently seen worn by artists like Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, and in magazines like Vogue. C'est Jeanne will be present for measurements and try-ons of their gloves that can only be described as works of art.

About the Artists:

You can see Harsh Babe around New York as an iconic lesbian direct action organizer, arts educator, and of course, dyke drag queen. She's booked, she's busy, and she's helping us sweeten this salon just a little more. For Harsh Babe, we'll make a classical art exception (but drag and dykes are ALWAYS the classics).

Shreya Bhadriraju is an Indian-American coloratura soprano from Houston, Texas, currently based in NYC, a graduate of Northwestern University, she is a Fulbright recipient and AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow. Her recent roles include Queen of the Night at the Prague Summer Nights Music Festival and will be joining the Cedar Rapids Opera as a Smith Young Artist as well as the Santa Fe Opera as an Apprentice for their 2026 season.

Malachi Brown, cellist and composer from Norfolk, Virginia, Brown graces the concert stage, animated features, and films, all while sharing stages with Toshi Reagon, Sigur Rós, and Ellie Goulding, and making his Lincoln Center debut in The Parable of the Sower. His performances with the Wordless Music Orchestra and Mac-Haydn Theatre highlight his versatility across genres. As a member of the Dream Quartet, he combines technical mastery with an expressive, genre-fluid approach to performance.

RAFFLE!!

This salon we are raffling off Tarina Tarantino goodies to help raise funds for our friend Elle's transition and surgery recovery! If you can't attend the salon or would like to donate directly, you can donate here.
