Tatale by Akwasi Brenya-Mensa x Hawa Hassan

Tatale is a contemporary Pan-African concept that shares stories through food, art, and heritage. Akwasi Brenya-Mensa comes to New York after years of producing sold-out supper clubs and launching an award-winning restaurant in London, appearing everywhere from Soho House to Tate Modern. His work is shaped by extensive travel, deepening his understanding of culinary traditions, and how they evolve across geographies and time.

Service each Friday evening will be a combination of pure Tatale dishes, including the signature Omo Tuo (mashed rice) & Nkatekwan (groundnut soup). As well as a collaborative services that invite friends of Tatale: Hawa Hassan, Natasha L Pickowicz, Art Comes First and more to the table, demonstrating Tatale’s continual interweaving approach to food and storytelling.

We ask that you bring 2 items of dry or tinned food so that we can make a donation to a local food bank . Our dining concept began with an aim to help fight food poverty and we are very grateful for your help on this.

When purchasing tickets please make sure to purchase for your group as opposed to separately. The dinner is a communal table format and an intimate setting so we will all be next to one each other. As a result of this, the maximum group size we can guarantee together is 4.

Your experience begins at the allotted time, please be on time so we can guarantee you the smoothest experience.

Thank you for reading this and THANK YOU for your support, love and joy xx

P.S - Our menu includes a plant-based option in every course.”
