“Introducing!! Zine Club: an exploration into the art of expression through DIY, self-made + published works.
This month's zine club will focus on the unique folding techniques of zines in art spaces. Be prepared to glue, cut, and create a spiral or accordion zine to be explored again and again! Expect an evening of creativity and community. We'll take inspiration from zinesters who've used this medium to creatively express themselves and their practice. We’ll kick off with an intro to zines, some inspiration and leave you to follow your creative whims.
All materials included— use our vast selection of curated collage materials, stamps, stickers, drawing utensils, papers, label makers, etc to create something entirely unique to you <3 Feel free to bring any photographs or materials from home you’d like to incorporate.
We'll end the night sharing what we made with those around us!
Whether this is your very first zine, or your 500th, there’s a place for you at our long communal art/craft table.
As with all RecCreate events, you can expect to go on this journey with a room full of lovely strangers. We’ll offer opportunities for connection throughout our time— encouraging the spirit of the collective. It is (so) much more fun to get to create together.
