“Hi All! To mark Nowruz and celebrate our shared culture, Saffron Social and Sumac & Smoke are teaming up for a Sizdeh Bedar picnic in McCarren park on Sunday, April 5th beginning at 1pm! (weather permitting). Complimentary kabob wraps and beverages will be available while supplies last. All food offered will be halal. Especially in this moment, we are aiming to center this gathering around community and our shared love for Persian food. Our cooking team will be working hard to provide food, so please be patient — and bring a beverage of your own as well as a picnic blanket or other seating arrangement.
