Sip School Takes Over Chito Gvrito — With a 7th Gen. Georgian Winemaker

Because Georgian wine is one of the oldest winemaking traditions in the world, and it’s best experienced with the people who make it. This special tasting brings No Wine Left Behind’s Sip School to Chito Gvrito for an afternoon devoted to Georgia’s ancient grapes, culture, and hospitality.

The session features seventh-generation Georgian winemaker Ruso Chochishvili of Kapistoni Winery, whose family has been crafting wine for more than two centuries. Ruso will guide guests through a tasting of three indigenous Georgian wines made using the traditional Qvevri winemaking technique.

And because this is No Wine Left Behind, the experience goes beyond a standard tasting. Guests will take part in a gamified blind tasting featuring Ruso’s wines, guessing the grape, region, and style along the way. Expect a little friendly competition, plenty of learning, and a deeper appreciation for one of the world’s most historic wine cultures. 🍷
